Stabilized Turquoise in Paste - Rhombus 40x40 mm PE0528

This item is made of Stabilized Turquoise Paste (or Reconstituted Turquoise). This composite material, widely used in costume jewelry, is obtained by mixing finely ground natural turquoise powder (hydrated copper aluminum phosphate) with a binding resin . The resin stabilizes the material and gives it its characteristic vivid, uniform blue color .

The shape is a large , flat diamond/square , 40x40 mm , with a large central hole that makes it perfect as a pendant or central element ( connector ) in long necklaces. The surface is shiny and smooth.
