THE MOON (MOON)

The Moon is the second of the Luminaries and is associated with emotion , the unconscious, receptivity, maternal instinct, and the cycles of life. In alchemy, it represents the Soul and the feminine principle (Yin).

• The Moon is one of the Seven Classical Planets and is the fastest celestial body, tied to the rhythms and tides.

• It symbolizes intuition, memory, and imagination. Its influence is linked to magic, dreams, and water.

• Alchemical Metal: Silver (Argentum) . Silver is the noble metal associated with the Moon; it is pure, reflective, and symbolizes the purified Soul and purity of perception.

• Element: Water . Reflects the Moon's connection to the tides, emotions, fluidity, and the subconscious.

• Alchemical Phase: Albedo (Whiteness). This is the purification phase (after Nigredo) where matter is washed and whitened, symbolizing the transformation into Silver and the clarity of the Soul.
