Collection: Muladhara – The Root Chakra - 1st Chakra

where it all begins

In the vast universe of chakras, Muladhara is the first, the foundation. It is the root of our being, our anchor to the Earth, the starting point for all spiritual growth. When this chakra is balanced, we feel stable, secure, and protected. When it is blocked or deficient, we are assailed by anxiety, irrational fears, a sense of disconnection, and material insecurity.

What does Muladhara represent?

Location: At the base of the spine, between the perineum and the coccyx
Color: red
Element: Earth
Function: survival, instinct, rooting, structure
Archetype: Mother Earth
Physical body: legs, feet, bones, large intestine, adrenal glands

Muladhara is our point of contact with the physical world: it speaks to us of home, money, food, but also of the ability to feel in our place, rooted in the here and now. It is the energy that sustains life itself, the energy that makes us get up in the morning and say: "I am. I exist. I belong."

Crystals for Muladhara

First chakra crystals are dark, dense, protective stones. They help you stabilize yourself, feel safe, and release blockages related to fear and uncertainty.

Black Obsidian: Powerful protector, absorbs negative energies and helps release them
Hematite: promotes concentration, inner strength and deep grounding
Garnet: stimulates vitality, courage, passion for life
Red Jasper: improves physical and emotional resistance, protects and nourishes

How to use them:
Carry them in your pocket, wear them as a bracelet or necklace, or hold them in your hands during meditation. Place the stone at the base of your spine during a relaxation practice, or near your bed for energetic protection while sleeping.

Guide phrase

“I am grounded. I am safe. The Earth supports me.”

Repeat this affirmation upon awakening or whenever you feel the need to center yourself. Muladhara is like an inner house: if it's solid, you can build anything on top of it.
