Sunstone is a variety of aventurine feldspar, often orthoclase or oligoclase, with reflective inclusions of hematite or goethite. It crystallizes in the triclinic or monoclinic system and has a hardness of 6–6.5 on the Mohs scale. Its color ranges from golden to orange, with shimmering metallic highlights known as aventurescence. It is the stone of joy, vitality, and inner light. It stimulates self-esteem, creativity, and positive energy.
