Ehwaz is the sacred horse, the medium between worlds, the symbol of the bond of trust between the one who leads and the one who is led. Its shape resembles a double line moving in parallel: two forces in harmony, two energies flowing toward a common goal. Ehwaz also represents the body and soul harmonizing, the instrument and the spirit learning to dance together.

The accompanying stone is calcite, delicate yet powerful, excellent for fluidifying energies, dissolving blockages, and easing the transition from one phase to the next. Calcite brings clarity and lightness, and together with Ehwaz, it helps one embrace movement, not fear change, but experience it as an ally, not a threat.

To activate Ehwaz, trace the rune on yellow or light blue paper, or on objects related to travel (bags, shoes, diaries). Light a yellow, orange, or white candle, a symbol of energy and confidence. Hold the calcite in your hands or on your forehead. The ritual sound is harmonious, almost chanting:

“Eeeeh-waaaaz…”

with a fluid rhythm, as if it were the step of a horse or the breath of the wind.

During meditation, Ehwaz appears as a luminous horse, a boat gliding across the water, a bridge opening between two shores. It brings awareness of what is changing, but also of the inner or spiritual guidance that accompanies it. It is the rune of fluid passage, of trust in transformation.

Ehwaz is invoked when:

• transitions are faced (work, relationships, spiritual paths)
• you want to move with harmony and not with anxiety or escape
• we seek a balanced relationship between instinct and will, body and spirit, self and Other
